Zooey Deschanel and Reese Witherspoon There may be no such thing as a free lunch-especially in Hollywood-but Reese Witherspoon, Zooey Deschanel, Kristin Davis, Kerry Washington and the rest of the midday crowd didn't mind opening up their wallets at the P.S. Arts Bag Lunch, knowing that the proceeds would fund arts education programs in area public schools. The food was simple but still gourmet-the afternoon event was held in Beverly Hills, after all-and though the main course came in a brown paper bag, it was the designer handbags on display that really got the guests' mouths watering. |
| Kristin Davis and Kerry Washington remained composed at the 4th-annual P.A. Arts Bag Lunch in L.A. even though they knew that the notorious silent auction featured luxe bags from designers including Fendi, Chanel and Cole Haan, at up to 60% off the retail price. As if anyone needed extra incentive to buy, the pricey totes included must-have beauty items from Lancôme. |

Joely Fisher kept her eyes on the prize as she scouted out the items up for bids. "I might start a fight over the bag. I'm willing to do it-I'll throw down," Fisher told USA Today. "Whatever price I need to pay for a bag today, I'm going to buy one. And hopefully, lots of children will be able to continue to do art and music and drama because of it." |
Model Lydia Hearst tried a tote on for size before helping herself to a bag lunch. The to-go meals included the mini-cupcakes that have become the signature snack at the event now in its fourth year. |

Zooey Deschanel and Kristin Davis posed
with stylists and event organizers Elizabeth
Stewart and George Kotsiopoulos. Stewart
and Kotsiopoulos were also available to provide fashion advice to deliberating bidders. Rather than picking up a new bag, Deschanel brought one to donate to the auction. Her contribution helped rake in over $180,000 for P.S. Arts and made dozens of women feel good about their splurges. |
